"Art has become my peace, my voice, and my connection to a world I can no longer touch. Each piece I create is a reflection of my journey: the struggles I’ve faced, the growth I’ve embraced, and the humanity I hold onto. With every brushstroke or line, I release a part of myself into the world—a world I hope to rejoin, even if only through the spirit of my work."

A boy full of joy

Before the world became complicated, there was just laughter. Benito grew up like many kids—full of dreams, energy, and the belief that anything was possible.

Working the fields

As a teenager, Benito spent long days working in the fields alongside his family, learning what it meant to sacrifice, endure, and survive. There was little time for art, but his mind always wandered—imagining, creating, dreaming beyond the rows of crops.

Unexpected turn

By 18, Benito found himself incarcerated, caught in a system that so many like him never escape.

Finding his voice

Art became more than an escape—it became his voice, his purpose, his way of giving back. Benito is now using his journey to inspire others, proving that creativity can’t be caged.

"In every piece, I hope to share the quiet moments of peace I have found in a place that often feels devoid of it. I hope my art serves as a reminder that even in the darkest circumstances, creativity, beauty, and connection can flourish. Thank you for holding a part of me in your hands and in your heart."
